Extra abilities

Strengths & Weaknesses

In some enemies we find certain vulnerabilities or immunities, these types of enemy abilities are based on conditionalities:

These types of additional constraints are used to increase or decrease the difficulty, as well as to force the player to opt for different attack strategies.

Immunities

Enemies with immunity during their attack:

Enemies with immunity depending on the angle of the player's attack:

There are other methods of immunity inherent in the ability to move. Enemies with teleportation abilities reduce the window of opportunity to attack them, as they disappear, and the time between disappearance and appearance makes them invulnerable.

Connection abilities

There are some direct synergies between certain enemies, which when in close proximity to each other have an additional effect on their original mechanics.

Additional actions upon death

When killed, some enemies have a residual damage ability. The most common are explode on death or scatter projectiles. This type of dying ability is common in many roguelikes and gives a lot of strategic richness to the same enemy. It is a mechanic that makes the player have to be more careful while attacking and keeping their distance, as an enemy with this type of ability dying nearby could cause damage with virtually no response time. It is an enemy type that helps us gain space.

Other enemies have a utility ability on death rather than a damage ability, such as the ability to revive after a period of time or spawn another enemy.
